My name is Mirnes. I write poetry and other things, too. My family is Bosnian. I was born and raised in Michigan. I live in Iowa. I write about: fly fishing, the natural environment, the built environment, borders, sports, conversations, family, personal archives, all of the above, and anything else I feel like writing about.
I am also an educator. Craft is lonely without learners. Certainly, without teachers. There are no teachers if there are no students. Only mad people. I like teaching history and writing. I also like writing poetry.
When I’m not writing or reading, I am: fly fishing, biking, cooking, working on project #____, or playing with my dog, Gordon.
